Built by someone who gets it.

Flarely was created by Chintan, a developer with ulcerative colitis who couldn't find a tracker that actually helped him understand his flares. So he built one.

The story behind Flarely

I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and suddenly everything about eating became stressful. Every meal felt like a gamble. I'd have a good week, eat something I thought was safe, and end up in a flare two days later with no idea what went wrong. The uncertainty was exhausting.

I tried tracking with spreadsheets, notes apps, and a few symptom diary apps. None of them stuck. The spreadsheets were tedious. The apps were either too generic or designed for conditions nothing like IBD. I'd log for a week, fall off, and go back to guessing. Meanwhile, my GI appointments were 15 minutes of me trying to remember what I ate last month.

I'm a developer, so eventually I did what developers do: I started building. What began as a side project to solve my own problem turned into Flarely. I wanted something that made logging fast enough to actually stick with, used AI to catch the delayed reactions I kept missing, and gave me real data to bring to my gastroenterologist.

That's what Flarely is. It's the app I wished existed when I was first diagnosed. Read the full founder story →

Help IBD patients stop guessing.

Living with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis shouldn't require a spreadsheet degree. You're already dealing with enough -- the medications, the anxiety before meals, the bathroom math every time you leave the house. Your tracking tool should make things easier, not add another chore to your day.

Flarely exists to close the gap between "I think dairy is bad for me" and having data to talk about with your GI. Fast logging, AI that finds patterns across days (not just the last meal), and reports that give your GI doctor something concrete to work with. That's it. No wellness fluff, no gamification -- just the tool I needed and couldn't find.

A tracking tool, not medical advice.

Flarely is not a diagnosis tool and it is not a substitute for your gastroenterologist. It doesn't tell you what to eat, prescribe treatments, or replace professional medical guidance. What it does is help you collect structured data about your symptoms, meals, and lifestyle so you and your GI can make better-informed decisions together. Your doctor brings the expertise. Flarely brings the data.
